Mahkira was bred by Debbie Ballenger and is the product of two great breeding programs. Her sire Makhsous was a great stallion at Kehilan Arabians LLC and is the sire of National champions, International champions, and Egyptian Event Supreme Champions in halter and performance. Makhsous was known for passing on his typey look, fluid movement and charisma. He also passed on his sire, *Sultann’s athletic ability, long elegant neck and correct legs. Mahkira is also a 3/4 sister to one of Kehilan’s current sires, the Makhsous son, Makhnificent KA. Mahkira’s dam, AK Dahkira was bred by another great program, Bentwood Farms.
Mahkira is 14.3 hands and is a refined mare with a long neck and a nice topline. Her head displays a beautiful jibah and huge expressive eyes. She is Saqlawi in strain. Naturally curious, she has a wonderful temperament. She is started under saddle and has a natural western pleasure attitude. It is not often that Mahkira reveals the athletic ability that her pedigree is so rich in. On occasion, however, it is like the spirits of Makhsous,*Sultann, *Ibn Hafiza, Sameh, *Sakr and *Ibn Moniet El Nefous all come to life in this otherwise quiet mare and she puts on a show that you just have to stop and watch.
